Hess Sheet Metal Fabrication System...Manufactures Families of Parts On-the-Fly

NILES, MI – Hess Industries, Inc., announces that it offers customers a variety of demand flow metal forming manufacturing capabilities that are highly programmable and flexible to produce a family of parts on a single line. Part change-overs can be programmed into a companies MRP system or made “on-the-fly”.
Proprietary Capitol metal forming technologies integrate metal forming, metal fabrication, programmable dies and assembly processes from coil or sheet stock through finished parts using a full range of in-house capabilities. A typical Hess demand flow metal forming system incorporates programmable servo positioned punching, piercing, forming, shearing, wing bending and assembly stations to manufacture a family of parts.
Utilizing patented machine technologies, companies can produce families of parts on a single line. This offers reduced production time, reduced work-in-process and inventory, minimal production floor space, increased bottom line and a quality end product with proven repeatability. A recent line manufactured 37 different part configurations.
Applications have included air conditioning coil guards, louvered furnace panels, furnace filter housings, electrical boxes and others.
