Hess Industries Honored in International Web Competition

NILES, MI –Hess Industries, Inc., along with their communications agency, LKF Marketing received a WebAward in the 2007 WebAward Competition.  Sponsored by the Web Marketing Association, the annual international contest names the best websites in 96 industries in more than 30 countries and sets the standard of excellence for all website creation. 

Hess Industries site, (www.hess-eng.com) , was recognized as an Outstanding Website. Hess Industries, a manufacturer of metalforming machinery, features a sophisticated creative design that emulates the Hess organization.  The site was honored for presenting a significant amount of highly organized technical content and product information suitable for a niche audience.

The award-winning websites were designed and developed by LKF’s web development team including: Heather Isch, Vice President; Jennifer Hauschild, Associate Creative Director; Sarah Blundy, Account Manager; Kurt Todas, Technology Development Specialist; Brian McWilliams, Web Programmer and Developer; Eric Schmidt, Graphic/Web Designer and Lisa Chappell, Account Coordinator/SEO Specialist.  Additional site development and management was provided by Tom Williams, Hess Industries’ Technical Writer/Graphic Designer.

The 2007 WebAward Competition received more than 2,400 entries. Entries were judged according to seven criteria: design, innovation, content, technology, interactivity, copywriting and ease of use. The judges represent various relevant disciplines and are distinguished experts in their fields, including the media, advertising, site design, content providers and webmasters.
