Applications : Motor Housings
Motor Housings is a general term applied to inner or outer rocket or engine casings.
These cylindrical tubes are typically machined, spun or flowformed from tubular stock.
Facing the same challenges as many commercial products (wheels and other drivetrain components),
today’s emphasis is placed on lowering the overall weight of the finished product. This entails
reducing material thickness in areas where strength is not required, and building material
thickness in areas of the housing where high forces will be experienced or in areas where the
housing will be joined with other components of the device.
