Applications : Under Body Catalytic Converter
Under body converters are mounted under the vehicle, downstream from engine manifold, prior to the muffler or resonator. They provide the final step in the removal of gaseous pollutants such as carbon monoxide (CO) and hydrocarbons (HC). Each converter contains one or more ceramic or metallic substrates within a stainless steel tube. The diameters at the ends of the tube are reduced to facilitate coupling to other exhaust system components. Termination of the ends can be symmetrical, offset or oblique to the tube axis.
Our catalytic converter machines can insert the substrate(s), size the tube, spin the ends and mark the finished product. Additionally mid-bed temperature sensors (mounted between substrates) can be accommodated.
