Barrel Sizer

Purpose

To automatically reduce the converter shell a maximum of 0.300 inches on the diameter.

Description

The Barrel Sizer loading arm will automatically extend, pushing the shell and substrate assembly into the Sizer dies. Once in position the Sizer will begin by reducing the can diameter to final specified tolerances. As the Sizer barrel begins to retract, the loader arm will remove the assembly and release it on the loading block.

The Barrel Sizer will be capable of automatically reducing the converter shell a maximum of 0.300 inches on the diameter. This machine includes: automated loading, servo controlled barrel position, automatic unload upon completion of the sizing process, and an integral hydraulic power supply.
