Electric-Driven Automatic Machine

Purpose

The Electric-Driven Automatic Straightener is specifically designed for small part straightening requirements. Typical applications include motor shafts, drills, ejector pins, acme screws, ball screws and threaded rods.

Hess Electric-Driven Automatic Machine

Description

These straightening machines use an extremely quiet electromechanical drive to apply the straightening forces. The required tooling and controls are contained in a free-standing single enclosure requiring minimal electrical and pneumatic utilities for connection and operation.

The ram drive system consists of an AC servomotor with low-backlash gear box driving a precision ballscrew. Straightening forces up to 5 kN with part lengths ranging from 40 to 400 mm are accommodated. These machines are equipped with the same straightening control system as used on our larger electro-mechanical machines.

Advantages

  • Rigid design
  • Precision motion control needed for precision straightening
  • Complete control and visualization of the straightening process
  • Digital measuring technology for optimum accuracy
  • Compact floor space requirements
  • Noise level below 65 dB
