Hydraulic "C" Frame Manual Machine
Purpose
These manual straighteners are used in low-volume straightening applications where the cost of automatic straightening equipment cannot be justified. Typical applications include medium to large diameter shafts and flat bars that require significant straightening forces.

Description
These machines use a heavy-duty, welded "C" frame construction with an integral hydraulic system. The hydraulics include a NFPA industrial-rated, 3,000 psi cylinder with a quiet internal piston pump. A stroke depth actuator with digital display provides continuous, smooth adjustment of the straightening stroke. A fixed home position is provided for loading and unloading with an adjustable clearance height setting to allow part rotation for runout inspection with minimal effect on straightening cycle time.
Units are available from 10 to 150 tons with a full array of tooling options for straightening parts between centers or roller supports. Other options include front and rear mounted dial indicators, retractable anvils, and electronic stroke control.
Advantages
- Low cost
- Minimal frame deflection (one piece "C" frame design)
- Flexibility to accommodate a wide range of parts
- Precision ram stroke repeatability
- Ease of setup/changeover
- Minimal floor space
