Ring Splitting Saw

Purpose

The splitting saw and spiral coil holding fixture are designed to size and saw coiled multiple ring stacks into individual rings. All fixture components are manually lubricated.

Description

The HYD-MECH model V-18 extended head band saw cuts spiraled coils into individual rings. An expanding holding fixture clamps the spiraled coils. The stationary jaw is attached through the fixture base plate to the table of the band saw. Two manually adjustable swing clamps are mounted on either side of the saw blade centerline to accommodate different ring stack heights. The moving part of the fixture is attached to a plate mounted on linear slides. Two manually adjustable jaws are mounted to the plate to accommodate different coil diameters. Manually adjustable rest pads are mounted to the moving part of the fixture to accommodate different ring stack configurations.
