Rotary Flash Trimmer

Purpose

The rotary flash trimmer is designed to remove weld flash material from a part of the ID and OD of steel rim weld joints.

Description

Trimming is performed while the weld joint is still hot, a minimum of 600 degrees Fahrenheit. Trimming is accomplished by two hydraulically-driven blades, one on the ID and one at the OD. The blades are rotated in opposite directions against the weld material, which nulls out the shearing force of each blade.

The trimmer is a heavy-duty steel frame construction which supports the trimming mechanics.
