Hess Engineering: Metalforming Technologies

Services : Failure Mode Effect Analysis (FMEA)

Failure Mode and Effects Analysis is an easy to use and yet powerful pro-active engineering quality method that helps you to identify and counter weak points in the early conception phase of machine, process and system designs. A structured approach makes it easy to use, even for non-engineering personnel. The basic idea of the FMEA is to spot risks and to initiate dedicated efforts to control or minimize risks.

Where appropriate, Hess Engineering will work hand-in-hand with you, the customer, using FMEA methods. Our primary objectives are to identify potential problem areas and define an appropriate plan to minimize overall project risk and provide optimum reliability of the supplied equipment.

FMEA studies can also be used to evaluate problematic machine systems (those that are failing as reliable production tools). Appropriate corrective action plans can be devised and implemented, correcting system deficiencies.
